Managing My Materials (My Stuff)

Did you know that the average person living in the Tri-County service area throws away more than 4 pounds of waste a day? That’s just slightly under the U.S. average of 4.6 pounds of waste per day. That’s a lot of garbage! In addition to that 4 pounds of garbage, we consume an additional 3 pounds of material each day that we either reuse or recycle.

We consume, and waste, a lot of material. The average American uses 70% more of the world’s resources than the average world citizen.

So, how can you manage your “stuff” so that you are consuming less, and giving back to a thriving Gorge community for generations to come?
