What can I recycle at home?

These items go in the SAME bin (comingled):

Plastic

  • Bottles
  • Round Containers
  • Buckets
  • Pots

 

Paper

  • Paper
  • Newspaper
  • Magazines
  • Egg Cartons
  • Mail
  • Paperback Books
  • Paper Bags

 

Cardboard and Cartons

  • Flattened cardboard
  • Boxes
  • Cartons

 

Metal

  • Aluminum and Steel cans (rinsed)
  • Scrap metal

These items go in a SEPARATE bin:

Glass

  • Bottles and jars
    • Mix all colors together
    • Labels are OK
    • Take off lid and put it with your comingled recycling

 

Motor Oil

  • Place next to recycle car in a clear plastic container with a screw-on lid (1-gallon or smaller)
  • Don't mix with other liquids

NOT allowed

  • Plastic Bags
  • Styrofoam
  • Frozen food boxes
  • Clamshell plastic
  • Aseptic containers
  • Shredded paper
  • Bagged recyclables
