In 2010, Oregon reached it’s 50 percent material recovery rate. Each year, Oregonians recycle over 2 million tons of waste. Despite these accomplishments, we can recycle much more than we do. Oregonians disposed of 2,515,646 tons of material in 2010 – that is more than we actually recycled. We’ve still got work to do.
